From the first contact they were responsive, professional and friendly, and took a thorough approach to understanding our two cats' routines and personalities. They looked after them for three days and sent detailed updates both morning and evening, with lots of photos. Both cats are very timid with strangers, but Jane took the time to win them over and I could see that they became more relaxed with each visit. One needs daily medication and Jane was very careful to check the dosage and timing, which hasn't always been the case with previous cat sitters. "Jane and James have just looked after my two cats, Ripley and Ozzy for a few days. I am over-anxious about leaving my cats and worry about them when I am away so it is a big deal to leave them in someone else's care. My previous cat sitter, a close friend, moved out of the area so I had to find another solution other than not going away! I read all of the reviews, followed Catjoy on facebook and finally made a decision to give them a try. My cats gave them the seal of approval when they came to meet them, giving them a greet and sniff - they usually hide away when people visit so this was a good sign! It wasn't easy leaving my fur babies at all but the communication from Jane was excellent. The videos and photos showed that they were absolutely fine and were interacting well, not keeping out of the way, playing and generally being friendly. It was such a relief!

I can tell they have been well looked after by you both, and I am positive they are looking forward to you doing the same in a few weeks time. Anyone out there looking for someone to pop into your own home to care for your beloved pet while you are away, then look no further!!! Both Jane and James are cat people, you will be able to tell that just as I did, and that made me feel much better about choosing them, and let's face it, your cat or cats will be much happier remaining in their own environment, with familiar things and smells surrounding them, and that in turn will make you happier. The initial consultation is very thorough and professional, obvious questions are asked, but then Jane and James go the extra mile and ask if you need plants watering, curtains drawn, light left on, even asking about other pets such as birds, hamsters etc. Jane will ask what vet you use (just in case), and about any possible medication or ailment your precious pet may have or need. Both of these caring dedicated people are DBS checked which I find very important, after all it isn't just your animals it is your home also. I would have no hesitation in recommending Catjoy to other potential user's. In fact we already have another 2 jobs booked in with them and I found Catjoy much cheaper than using a cattery. He hates travelling in cars and so life was very stress free not having to bundle him into his basket and then the car to take to a cattery. "Jane and James visited us as arranged to meet our cats and gain an understanding of our requirements for their services whilst we were on holiday.
We quickly and easily established what we needed and when. Jane was helpful and friendly and clearly has a love of cats!
Leading up to our holiday some of our requirements changed from visiting and feeding our cats twice a day to include opening and closing of curtains, watering bedding plants and due to the very hot spell we were having watering shrubs around the garden.
Jane sent daily pictures and communications to update us on how the cats were which was great to receive.
Our cats were very well looked after in their own home, free to come and go as they chose and we were happy in the knowledge that they were being fed and cared for and we had someone making a real fuss of them! In addition to this it gave us peace of mind that Jane and James were going in and out of our home on a daily basis, ensuring everything was OK.

"Loved Catjoy's business and whole approach. We were introduced to Jane and James at Catjoy through a leaflet they had put through the letterbox.
